Ordering and Reserving Queens
I do not anticipate having mated queens for sale until late May or Early June of the 2012 season.  Look for an update on the availability of queens in late April.

Nectar Meadows Apiaries is not a large volume queen supplier.  I do not take payment in advance of my ability fo fill an order.  I only accept payment and schedule shipping for live, mated, and tested queens that I physically possess.  When mated queens are available for shipment, the number and availability of queens will be posted on this website.  The demand in recent years for mated queens has greatly outweighed their availability. Poor queen quality and poor customer service has been the result.  It seems this unfortunate trend is the result of a mad dash to produce as many mated queens as possible in a season to rake in as much profit as possible.  I will take a certain number of reservations if I feel I can fill them easily under the current circumstances at that given time but there are no guarantees in this business.

My goal is not in quantity but in the quality of queens shipped.  I will not ship unsatisfactory queens under any circumstances, nor will I ship queens under conditions I feel may hinder their health due to poor weather without due cause expressed by customer.  As an example, spring of 2011 was a very cold in the north.  Many shipments of queens coming from the south arrived with dead and chilled queens.
