Nectar Meadows Apiary
The Honey
The honey produced by the honeybees at Nectar Meadows Apiary is gathered from a constantly varying and abundant source of nectar as the seasons progress from spring through fall. There are notable nectar flows as they are called by beekeepers here, such as alfalfa, wild blackberry, and goldenrod. At present, all honey taken from hives has had a very light golden color and a wonderful mild taste. This coming June-July of 2010, the apiarist hopes to harvest a significant crop from the wild blackberry flow, as the nectar flow is so intense during its fruit set that a colony of honeybees can literally pack a box full of honey in a matter of two or three weeks. To get yours please make a reservation or ask to be contacted when I harvest the flow. The apiarist will be more than happy to inform you when a harvest is made and will deliver orders of a gallon or more personally if within 30 miles of apiary or route to work located in Eau Claire. Simply leave your contact information by using the contact link above and Morgan will contact you.
